I was just notified that the Wi-Fi Alliance has just activated their Wi-Fi ZONE Locator service.
When the Wi-Fi Alliance announced their Wi-Fi ZONE initiative back on January 9, the Wi-Fi ZONE Locator was a future benefit for those who signed up as a Wi-Fi ZONE Provider. And now it's online.
You can search by venue name, provider, city, state, postal code, country, or location type.
The webpage says ZONE Finder, but the title is Wi-Fi ZONE Locator. Also, zoneLocator is part of the URL. So, which is it - Finder or Locator? You would think an entity concerned about branding would understand that consistency is an important factor when establishing a new brand. Or, maybe I'm just a nitpicky nut. Or, all of the above.
